Weird ideas that work

Just bought a book that looks like it could be a good read: Weird ideas that work, by Robert I. Sutton. From the back of the book:

There are massive rewards for original thinking, but an innovative company is – and has to be – a pretty weird place. Convinced that their ideas will work, creative people deceive their managers and disobey direct orders. They are sneaky, vindictive and misguided to the point of lunacy. They try ridiculous things and dismiss the advice of experts. Not only are true creatives messy and noisy, they’re almost always wrong.

And that’s if you’re doing it right.

Sounds like words to live by :)

Right, I’m off to go “think of some ridiculous or impractical things to do and act on them”.
